London Fashion Week’s Top 5 Innovators On Social Media

In the last week, amidst the launch of the Rugby World Cup, London Fashion Week happened with its usual splendour of questionable styles & impractical heels. As one of the first industries to embrace digital it’s hardly surprising that they continue to be the most innovative. Here’s our Top 5 from the week.

5. Hunter Boots & Periscope

SS16 marked the first fashion weeks where Periscope had been available with many brands embracing the app. Hunter went one step further & filmed live music on the app to create a fully immersive experience for their audience.


4. The not so digital – Louis Vuitton Series 3

Louis Vuitton Series 3 is essentially an exhibition of the latest Louis Vuitton show. It gives the public access to items most often only seen on social media & ironically presented like the perfect Instagram shot.


3. Henry Holland & Visa

In collaboration with Visa, Henry Holland allowed his audience to buy clothes straight from the catwalk with a micro-chipped ring allowing contactless payments.


2. Burberry & Snapchat

Ever one to surprise on social, Burberry recently announced their partnership with Apple Music. On top of that they released their entire SS16 collection on Snapchat to their 100m followers before they even hit the catwalk.


1. Topshop & Pinterest

‘Pinterest Palettes’ is a collaboration between Topshop & Pinterest to showcase the key trends & colours of the SS16 fashion weeks. The app takes colours from your Pinterest inspirations boards & matches them with Topshop’s on-trend offerings.
